Thrissur: The second national conference of gynaecological surgeons in the country, 'SOVSICON 25', has concluded. The conference was organized by the Kerala Chapter of the Society of Vaginal Surgeons of India (SOVSI) in Thrissur.

The valedictory session was inaugurated by Dr V P Paily, National President of SOVSI. Dr N R Reena, State President, presided over the session. The three-day conference was held at Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute and Lulu Convention Centre, Puzhakkal.

Dr. Elizabeth Jacob, National Joint Secretary, Dr M Deepthi, State Secretary, and Dr M Venugopal, Sovsicon General Convener, delivered speeches.

Following this, an organizational discussion and review took place during the National Council meeting. PG students presented posters on various topics related to gynaecology.

An award was also presented for the best poster. Over three days, experts presented about fifty papers on topics such as vaginal surgery, cosmetic gynaecology, and uro-gynaecology. 

Thirty stalls were also set up, integrating various sectors of the healthcare industry. 500 doctors, including those from abroad, participated. Approximately three hundred PG students from various medical colleges across the country also attended the conference.
