Kannur: A teacher from Wayanad lost her life after a car and a mini lorry collided at Kuruvayal. The deceased has been identified as Srinitha Jijilesh (32) of Thekkumthara Cholapuram Veetiyeri, Kalpetta.
Srinitha, an IT teacher at Kalpetta NSS School and the DYFI Vengappally Cholapuram unit president, was travelling with her family when their car rammed into the lorry around 3.30 pm on Sunday.
Srinitha, her husband Jijilesh, and their two children sustained injuries in the crash. They were admitted to a private hospital in Kannur. Srinitha succumbed to her injuries around 11.30 pm the same night. Hospital sources said the injuries of Jijilesh and the children are not life-threatening.
