The five people who were killed in the accident at Ramanattukara in Kozhikode in the wee hours of Monday hailed from Cherpulassery.
The local police began a detailed probe into the road accident that took place in Ramanattukara of Kerala's Kozhikode district at around 4.45 am on Monday.
The accident happened around 4:45am at Pulinchod near Ramanattukara.

It was also revealed that the driver had taken a sharp turn without adequately slowing down the tanker. Eyewitnesses had said the tanker was speeding just before it met with the accident.
The accident happened around 6am on Monday at Madavana Junction in Kochi, when she moved her scooter after receiving the green signal.
