Attenganam: Panchayat president P Sreeja inaugurated the drinking water distribution scheme at Moorikkada, in Ward 2 of the Kodom Beloor Panchayat. The project has been implemented under the annual plan of the local body.
Panchayat standing committee chairperson N S Jayasree presided over the function, while Vice President P Damodaran was the chief guest. As many as 33 families will now receive drinking water through the new project, which has been completed at a cost of ₹9.5 lakh.
Those who donated land for the project , identified as C Narayanan, C Pokkan, T Patta, C Mohanan and C Santosh, were felicitated on the occasion.
Speakers at the event included ward council members H Nagesh, T Raghavan (Moorikkada), K Satheesan, Neighbourhood Collective (Ayal Sabha) convenor K Gopalakrishnan and Ward Convenor V. Raneesh.
