Cherpu: The premises of the mini civil station in Cherpu are overrun with thickets and weeds, creating a haven for snakes and other reptiles. Despite being a public building frequented by hundreds of visitors each day, the three-storey facility remains in a state of neglect.

Heaps of discarded boards and materials lie dumped both inside and outside the building. The civil station houses several key government offices, including the Sub Registrar’s Office, Sub Treasury, Supplyco Supermarket, Sub District Education Office, PWD Roads Section, Minor Irrigation Section Office, Head Surveyor’s Office, Resurvey Superintendent’s Office, IHRD, Water Authority Section Office, and Krishi Bhavan.

The area beneath the staircase has effectively become a dumping ground, filled with waste and unusable materials. Meanwhile, the central courtyard is dangerously slippery and unsightly, with moss-covered walls and poor maintenance making it appear filthy and hazardous.
