Panur: Two line-men of the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) turned saviours on Thursday morning when they rescued a shikra (locally known as prapidiyan) that had fallen to the ground after being electrocuted near the KSEB office at Paravur.
The linemen, who rushed to the spot, immediately administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the bird. Within ten minutes, the shikra began to recover and within two hours, it regained full strength and flew away.
The timely act came from linemen C Sajith and K U Mahesh, who ensured the bird received a second chance at life.
