Malappuram: A 48-year-old soldier from Othukkungal, Malappuram, died in an accident while on patrol duty in the Rajouri sector of Jammu & Kashmir. Subedar Sajeesh, who passed away in the mishap, had served in the Army for 27 years. His family was informed on Friday evening.

The body will be kept for public homage on Sunday from 7 am to 8.30 am at Bala Prabodhini School, Othukkungal, Cherukunnu. The funeral will be held afterwards at his residence with full military honours.

Sajeesh is survived by his parents, Subrahmanyan and Lakshmi, his wife Roshni, and sons K Siddharth and K Aryan.
