Twin sisters, who studied together, have now secured jobs on the same day, in the same post, within the same government department, and at the same location.
Savitha Joseph and Sangeetha Joseph, natives of Kooramkundu, Bhimanady, in Kasaragod, are continuing the journey they began together at birth, now into their 23rd year. Both sisters, who had learning challenges, entered government service after great effort and perseverance.
Daughters of Joseph and Suni George of Kooramkundu, Savitha and Sangeetha are set to join their jobs together on December 4. Savitha, born on March 11, 2002, has been appointed as a Last Grade Servant at the Hosdurg Sub Court, and Sangeetha at the Hosdurg Munsiff Court. Both courts are located within the same compound.
Both received their appointment orders on Friday. They completed their schooling at Kallanchira ALP School, Plachikkara AUP School, and Varakad Valliyodan Kelunayar Memorial Higher Secondary School.
They were always in the same class during their school years. After completing Plus Two, they both studied animation. Following this, they attended coaching classes for the PSC (Public Service Commission) exams. Now, they are finally starting their jobs together at the same location.
"They both wish to continue their PSC training," said their mother, Suni George, who is the headmistress of Kallanchira KIA LP School. She added that they would continue their studies online.
Their father, Joseph, retired as a Senior Superintendent from the KSEB (Kerala State Electricity Board). Their elder sister, Kavitha Joseph, is married and works in Bengaluru.
