Idukki: Actor Mammootty has once again come forward to help Sandhya, a woman who lost her leg in the landslide on the National Highway at Adimali. After spending 41 days at Rajagiri Hospital in Kochi, she has found renewed hope and support from the actor.

Mammootty, through the Mammootty Care and Share Foundation, personally stepped in to cover her remaining medical expenses. Before Sandhya was discharged, the actor spoke to her over a video call. She expressed her gratitude to her favourite star for standing by her side.

When she informed him that she was ready to return home, Mammootty reassured her, saying, "We are all with you. An artificial leg will also be arranged for you."

He ended the call by reminding her to keep him updated on the steps being taken by the panchayat to rebuild her home, which was destroyed in the disaster.
