Chalakudy tops Christmas Eve liquor sales; Kerala buys alcohol worth ₹332.6cr through BEVCO

As the state welcomed Christmas, the Kerala State Beverages Corporation (KSBC) recorded liquor sales of ₹332.62 crore between December 22 to 25, a 18% hike during the same period from last year.
BEVCO sold ₹279.54 crore-worth liquor between Dec 22 and 25 in 2024.
The highest single-day sale was recorded on December 24, with overall collection touching ₹114.45 crore.
Chalakudy topped liquor sales through BEVCO outlets on Christmas Eve with a collection of ₹78.90 lakh. Pazhaya Uchakkada outlet at Balaramapuram was second in the list with ₹68.73 lakh collection, followed by Kadavanthara (₹66.92 lakh), Changanassery (₹65.07 lakh) and Manjapra (₹61.62 lakh).
The lowest sales were recorded at the Mananthavady and Chirayinkeezhu outlets, with collection of ₹46.50 lakh each.
On December 22, sales stood at ₹77.62 crore, followed by ₹81.34 crore on December 23 and ₹59.21 crore on December 25.
