Malappuram: In a tragic incident, four people — including three minor siblings from Kerala — were killed in a road accident in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on Sunday. The deceased are Ashas (14), Ammar (12), Ayash (5), and Bushara (48).

Ashas, Ammar and Ayash were the children of Abdul Latheef of Kizhissery, Kondotty, in Malappuram, and Ruksana of Kunnummakkara in Vadakara. Bushara, a native of Kunnath, Chamravattom in Malappuram, worked as their domestic help.

Abdul Latheef, Ruksana and their other children, Azam and Issa, sustained injuries in the accident. They are admitted to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. According to hospital sources, Azam is in critical condition.

A businessman, Abdul Latheef, has been residing in Dubai with his family. The family members and their domestic worker were returning to Dubai from Abu Dhabi after attending the Liwa Festival in the Liwa desert when their vehicle met with an accident at Ghantoot on the Abu Dhabi–Dubai highway in the early hours of Sunday.
