Pakistan humiliated India in the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup in Dubai with a massive 191-run win. India were bowled out for 156 in response to Pakistan's imposing total of 347/8.
Dubai had witnessed India make short work of Pakistan in the senior men's Asia Cup final just three months ago. Suryakumar Yadav's India had refused to accept the trophy from PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi, and to date, the silverware remains at the headquarters of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
There were speculations on whether Ayush Mhatre would do the same thing and refuse to collect the trophy from Naqvi, who is also the president of the ACC. But it doesn't matter anymore because it belongs to Pakistani skipper Farhan Yousaf.
Sameer Minhas' 113-ball 172 was the highlight of the Pakistani innings, which also featured a half-century (56) from Ahmed Hussain.
India began brilliantly, thanks to their incredible 14-year-old opener, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who hit 21 off the first over. But when the left-hander fell for 26 off 10, no one would have guessed it would be the second-highest score by an Indian in the afternoon.
Deepesh Devendran hit a 16-ball 36 when all that was left was the formality of a handshake, but the Indian innings folded in the 27th over. By the way, there were no handshakes, just like in the seniors' final.
Brief scores: Pakistan 347/8 in 50 overs (Sameer Minhas 172, Ahmed Hussain 56, Usman Khan 35, Deepesh Devendran 3/83, Khilan Patel 2/44, Henil Patel 2/62) bt India 156 in 26.2 overs (Deepesh 36, Vaibhav Suryavanshi 26, Ali Raza 4/42, Huzaifa Ahsan 2/12, Abdul Subhan 2/29, Mohammad Sayyam 2/38)
