Hope carried the West Indies, seeing the run chase out in 48.2 overs, with an innings that included 17 fours and 3 sixes. He was helped by teammates Amir Jangoo, who scored 67 off 56, and Keemo Paul, who scored 44 off 35 deliveries, to put the game to bed with 10 balls to spare in West Indies’ highest-ever run chase in ODI cricket.

The bowling units of both sides had a day to forget, especially India’s Anshul Kamboj, who had a disappointing debut, finishing on the expensive side without a wicket.
