It is understood that footage of women in any attire which is deemed too revealing, such as football shorts, is censored in Iran because it is an Islamic country.
Steinhaus, 39, is the first woman to have officiated a men's senior football matches in Germany. She joined the Bundesliga in September 2017.
Last year, she was named as one of Germany's best officials.
