West Bengal's Nithin Kumar Sinha stunned top seed Vishnu Vardhan of Telangana to clinch the men's singles title of the Naushad Mather Memorial National Ranking Tennis Tournament in Kochi.

Second seed Sinha defeated the former Asian Games medallist 6-3, 6-4 to emerge the champion. Meanwhile, Pooja Ingale of Maharashtra claimed a double by adding the women's singles title to the doubles victory.

Ingale defeated third seed Laxmi Siri Dandu of Telangana 6-4, 6-1 to win the singles title. On Friday, Ingale and partner Ishwari Ananth Matare defeated Sonal Patil and Chandana Potugari 6-4, 6-2 to win the women's doubles event.
