The Pine Forest, about 4km from the sleepy town of Vagamon is one of the most popular attractions in the town. And it features in almost all the guide books. Walk down the hill and beyond – you will hear the birds chirping and if it is a busy day, you will hear people too.

Vagamon is a honeymoon destination and there are a lot of resorts in the area that give you privacy.
This song from the Malayalam movie 'Ramante Edenthottam' was shot in one of the resorts near Vagamon. And that was not the only movie shot in the area. Iyobinte Pusthakam starring Fahadh Faasil and Isha Sharvani has captured the beauty of the pristine hills in all its glory. Some scenes of blockbuster hit 'Premam' was also shot here.
