Turn left at Kalithattu junction on the Alappuzha – Ernakulam highway, and Marari beach is just three kilometres away.

From Thakazhy, first reach Ambalappuzha before entering the national highway to Ernakulam. The Alappuzha beach is just three kilometres away from the General Hospital junction. You can also access this area via the road beneath the Alappuzha bypass.
Thottapally is another beach in Alappuzha where you could enjoy peaceful evenings. The sunset here is gorgeous, and people gather at the beach to witness this mesmerising sight. Interestingly, Thottapally beach is where the legendary Vembanadu Lake, Pamba Lake and Achankovil Lake merge with the mighty Arabian Sea. The water from these lakes and rivers flows through the leading channel and the spillway canal before it is emptied into the sea via the Thottapally spillway. This beach is just seven kilometres away from the Ambalappuzha bus stand.

The serene atmosphere and the scintillating natural beauty make Andhakaranazhi in the coastal hamlet of Pattanakad a splendid location to enjoy the sea. A lamp post that is more than three decades old can still be seen here. Many superhit Malayalam movies have been shot at the mesmerising Andhakaranazhi beach and surrounding areas, where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets and soothing waters.
