Mohanlal in Kansas City to enjoy the Argentina-Switzerland match

Malayalam actor Mohanlal has been a constant presence at FIFA World Cup matches over the past few years. A massive fan, he had travelled to Brazil for the 2014 final, in which Germany defeated Argentina, and in 2022 to Qatar to watch Argentina's historic penalty shootout win against France. This year too, Mohanlal is in the thick of things and was spotted enjoying the match in his 'upward-twirled' moustache avatar. Former actor and transport minister KB Ganesh Kumar shared a reel showing the actor capturing the pre-match ambience on his phone, at the GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, USA. 

Kansas City, known as the barbecue capital of the world, is known for its 'brisket' legacy. It's a cut of meat from the lower chest of a veal or cow, and the US state of Texas is known for serving the best brisket in the country. However, the brisket served in Kansas focuses on the brisket's sliced fat, with burnt ends. As much a foodie as a football fan, Mohanlal will find the region has everything to impress him, who is also a good cook himself. Kansas City also has a 'Museum of BBQ' that offers a unique, interactive experience to help visitors understand the region's history, barbecue styles, and food culture. 

The actor, who regularly visits the US for shoots and shows, had recently endorsed a New York-based Kerala restaurant named 'Chatti by Regi Mathew,' and said that he is doing a 'very bold step by bringing back Kerala to New York.' The actor said, "The food was very authentic, and sometimes it reminds you of your home, your mother or grandmother. He has put in that kind of effort." He also cut a cake at the restaurant with his wife, Suchithra, and wrote in the restaurant's visitors' book.
