New Delhi: The suspension on international flight services will be extended until January 31, the Centre announced on Thursday.

However, this new rule will not affect international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). International flights operating under air-bubble arrangements with other countries will also remain unaffected.
The DGCA is also likely to allow scheduled flights on selected routes on a case to case basis.
Scheduled international flight services remain suspended since March 23, 2020, on account of the coronavirus pandemic.
Currently, international passenger flights are being operated under bilateral air-bubble arrangements with various countries in a restricted manner.
As of November 24, India had formalised air-bubble arrangements with 31 countries.
