Bus after double-decker train
The bus was launched a few days after the trial run of Kerala's maiden double-decker train, which was conducted on the Pollachi-Palakkad route on Wednesday. It was launched before the introduction of the Bengaluru-Coimbatore Uday Double-Decker Superfast Train, intended to address the shortage of trains on the electrified route. AC chair car is part of the inaugural Double-Decker Express series of the Indian Railways. The train timings are yet to be finalised. The trial run was jointly conducted by the Salem and Palakkad divisions.
