While 99% of Indian tourist visa applications to Dubai used to get approved earlier, many are getting rejected late, according to travel agents. The daily visa rejection rate was just 1 – 2%; however, it has risen to 5 – 6%. And these are apparently the applications of those who have painstakingly submitted all the required documents and fulfilled the regulations. The agencies report that there have been incidents of visa applications of families of four getting rejected despite submitting all the required documents. The authorities have rejected up to eight visa applications in a week, showing that the regulations have become stricter. If you plan to enjoy the holiday season in Dubai, note these rules and regulations before applying for a tourist visa. If the tourist visa application is rejected, the applicant will lose not just the visa application fee but the air ticket fare and the hotel booking amount.

Make sure you have these documents
1) Documents of confirmed hotel bookings with QR codes
2) Return flight ticket copy. (Earlier, these were required to be shown only if the airport officials asked for the same.)
3) If the applicant intends to stay with a relative, the relative's residence permit and other documents should also be produced.
4) Tourists should also prove that they have at least AED 5,000 (approximately Rs 1.14 lakh) in their bank account for a two-month visa and AED 3,000 for a three-month visa.
5) Upload these docs on the migration department's website
6) If you have a visit visa or residence permit from the USA, UK, or EU or a US-issued green card, you can obtain a 14-day visa on arrival, which can also later be extended by 14 days.
7) A few travel insurance plans now also offer visa rejection coverage. This would reimburse certain expenses, such as hotel bookings and flight tickets, which can be non-refundable.
