Brand new AC sleeper buses in Kottayam – Bengaluru route a hit: Timings, details

Karukachal: The brand-new AC sleeper buses on the Kottayam – Bengaluru route was a huge success during the Onam season, generating excellent revenue. These sleeper cum seater buses continue to enjoy high demand among passengers and are often fully booked. Two buses have been allotted for the depot to run services to both sides. The bus departs from Kottayam to Bengaluru at 6.50 pm. Besides, a new link bus has also arrived at the depot to run service to Bison Valley via Thodupuzha at 10.30 am. Meanwhile, one more link bus and two fast passenger buses will join the fleet soon.

The two fast passenger buses allotted to Pala will operate as special services to Mysuru. Two more brand-new fast passenger buses will arrive at Pala for service. Meanwhile, the fast passenger bus allotted to Erattupetta will run a service to Coimbatore. This bus starts from Erattupetta at 8 am and reaches Coimbatore by 3 pm; the return service is at 8 pm.

KSRTC depots enjoy record collection
All the depots in the state collected record revenue when the schools and offices reopened after the Onam holidays. Kottayam depot came first in the district by earning 30 per cent more revenue than expected. KSRTC had functioned by setting specific targets on Monday, the reopening day after the Onam holidays.
