Thiruvananthapuram: Railway authorities have announced restrictions on several train services in Kerala on Tuesday and Wednesday. While certain trains are expected to be delayed, other services will be partially cancelled due to work on the overbridges at Ochira and Alappuzha.
Partially-cancelled services
Train number 22654, Nizamuddin – Thiruvananthapuram Weekly Express, which started from Nizamuddin on Monday, will terminate the service at Kayamkulam on Wednesday morning.
The Chennai–Thiruvananthapuram AC Express, scheduled to depart from Chennai at 4 pm on Tuesday, will terminate at Ernakulam Junction.
Consequently, the Thiruvananthapuram–Chennai AC Express will depart from Ernakulam at 7.35 pm on Wednesday.
Trains to be delayed
Train number 16348, Mangaluru – Thiruvananthapuram Express, will be delayed by two hours and 30 minutes on Tuesday.
The following trains starting on Tuesday are expected to run late by two hours:
- Rameswaram – Thiruvananthapuram Amritha Express
- Guruvayur – Chennai Express
- Nilambur – Thiruvananthapuram Rajya Rani Express
A delay of 90 minutes could occur during Tuesday’s service of the following trains:
- Mangaluru – Thiruvananthapuram Maveli Express
- Mangaluru – Thiruvananthapuram Antyodaya Express
Two trains are likely to run 30 minutes late. They are:
- Tirupati – Kollam Express
- Chennai – Thiruvananthapuram Super Express
Meanwhile, the Mangaluru – Thiruvananthapuram Malabar Express is expected to be delayed by 10 minutes and the Chennai – Guruvayur Express by 2 hours and 30 minutes on Tuesday.
The trains to be delayed on Wednesday include:
- Kollam – Alappuzha MEMU starting at 3.45 am by 30 minutes
- Kollam – Ernakulam scheduled to depart at 4.20 am, 10 minutes late
