Cantonment–Whitefield line doubling: Timings change for trains from Bengaluru

Bengaluru ∙ Train services, including those to Kerala, have been rescheduled in connection with the Cantonment–Whitefield line doubling. According to reports, the ₹664.5 crore project aims to ease severe traffic congestion, connect IT corridors such as Bengaluru Cantonment and Whitefield, and boost the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project. Here are the lists of delayed and cancelled trains and diverted routes. 

Delayed trains
a)Ernakulam–Bengaluru SMVT Express (12683) will depart one hour 40 minutes late on June 7, one hour late on June 10, and one hour 15 minutes late on June 2.
b) Thiruvananthapuram North–Yashwantpur Express (16562) will depart one hour late on June 19.

Services cancelled
Hubballi–Kollam Special Express (07313) will not run on June 7, and Kollam–Hubballi Special Express (07314) on June 8. 
Diverted routes
a) KSR Bengaluru–Kanyakumari Express (16526) on June 7 will run via Cantonment, Baiyappanahalli, Belandur Road, Hosur, Dharmapuri. Stops at K R Puram, Whitefield, Malur, Bangarpet, Kuppam, Tiruppattur stations are cancelled.
b) Ernakulam–Bengaluru SMVT Express (12683) on June 7 will reach SMVT via Bangarpet, Kolar, Chikballapur, Yelahanka. The stop at K R Puram is cancelled.

c)Yesvantpur–Mangaluru Weekend Express (16565) on June 7 will run via Banaswadi, Hosur, Omalur, Salem. Stops at K R Puram, Bangarpet, Kuppam are cancelled.
d) Kollam–Hubballi Special Express (07314) on July 6 will run via Salem, Omalur, Dharmapuri, Hosur, Baiyappanahalli, Yesvantpur, Chikkabanavara, Tumakuru. Stops at Bangarpet, K R Puram, Baiyappanahalli SMVT are cancelled.

e)Ernakulam–KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express (26652) on July 7 will run via Salem, Hosur, Baiyappanahalli. The stop at K R Puram is cancelled.
f) KSR Bengaluru–Ernakulam Junction Vande Bharat Express (26651) on the 8th will run via Baiyappanahalli, Hosur, Dharmapuri. The stop at K R Puram is cancelled.
g) Kozhikode–KSR Bengaluru Express (16512) from July 31 to August 3 will terminate its service at Bengaluru SMVT terminal. Stops at Yesvantpur, KSR Bengaluru are cancelled.
h) KSR Bengaluru–Kozhikode Express (16511) from July 31 to August 4 will depart from Bengaluru SMVT terminal at 8 PM. Stops at KSR Bengaluru, Yesvantpur are cancelled.
