Major UAE airlines, including Emirates, Etihad Airways, and Air Arabia, have cancelled multiple flights to and from Kuwait. The decision comes in response to ongoing regional tensions and associated operational challenges in the Middle East. Travellers have been strongly advised to check updated flight schedules and contact their respective airlines directly to arrange rebooking or refunds.
Emirates flight cancellations
Emirates has suspended its key services between Dubai International Airport and Kuwait International Airport for today and tomorrow. The cancelled outbound flights from Dubai to Kuwait include EK 853, EK 855, EK 857, and EK 859. Similarly, the return legs from Kuwait to Dubai — EK 854, EK 856, EK 858, and EK 860 — have also been cancelled. The airline has requested passengers booked on codeshare flights to check the websites of the partner carriers operating those flights for status updates.
Etihad and Air Arabia update travel advice
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways confirmed the cancellation of flights EY 653 and EY 654 operating between Zayed International Airport and Kuwait. The airline stated that it is actively working on alternative travel arrangements for affected passengers. Etihad has also urged customers to update their phone numbers and email addresses on their bookings to receive real-time updates.
Air Arabia has also cancelled numerous flights to Kuwait from its hubs in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. With flight schedules subject to sudden changes, aviation authorities have urged all passengers to verify their flight status online before departing for the airport.
