Kochi: Kochi Metro will operate additional services for football fans attending the Brazil Legends-India All Stars match at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kaloor on September 23.
Four additional metro train services will be operated between 9 pm and 10 pm, considering the rush of fans leaving the stadium after the match. Another train will be kept on standby to meet the additional demand.
The JLN Stadium Metro station will also have eight additional ticket counters operating from 8 pm to 11.30 pm.
To avoid queues after the match, Kochi Metro has advised spectators to purchase return QR tickets while travelling to the stadium. These tickets can be used to enter directly through the AFC gates.
Metro authorities have also urged passengers to make maximum use of digital tickets and group-ticketing facilities to reduce congestion at the ticket counters.
