Vagamon Adventure Park glass bridge set to reopen after strengthening work

The glass bridge at Vagamon Adventure Park is set to reopen to tourists, with work to strengthen the structure already underway.

The renovation is being carried out based on recommendations from an expert committee constituted by the government and comprising experts from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut.

The bridge will be opened to the public only after it is upgraded and its structural strength is tested and certified under the supervision of NIT, officials said.
The ongoing work is expected to take about a month.

The adventure park was developed under a public-private partnership (PPP) model by Kochi-based Bharat Matha Ventures in association with the Idukki District Tourism Promotion Council.
The glass bridge has remained closed for the past nine months.
