Kannur city has put on its finest festive sparkle for the annual Dasara festival, and visitors can now enjoy the illuminated streets from an open-top double-decker bus. The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) Budget Tourism Cell, in collaboration with Kannur Corporation, has launched a special 10-day tour service to give festival-goers an aerial view of the city glowing under vibrant lights.

Route, ticket price, and timings
The 40-minute sightseeing trip begins at Old Bus Stand and proceeds through AKG Hospital, Thana, Plaza, and Muneeswaran Kovil before returning to the starting point. Tickets are priced at ₹100 per passenger. The bus operates from 5 pm to 10 pm daily, with KSRTC DTO PE Ranjith noting that services will be extended until midnight if demand remains high. Depending on public response, KSRTC may consider making the double-decker service a permanent fixture in Kannur, similar to existing night tours in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and Kozhikode.
