Thrissur: The NCC unit of Thrissur Government Model Boys HS school observed International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Wednesday with a signature campaign against drug abuse.

Hundreds of people from all walks of life joined the campaign to put their signature on a 5.5-metre banner put up on the compound wall of the school.

The event was organised by the 23 Kerala Battalion NCC unit under Commanding Officer Lt. Col.V.Divakaran. Women Police Station SI, P.V.Sindhu inaugurated the campaign. School principal V.C. Jayaraj presided over the event.

“Those who witness the state of drug addicts in mental asylums will never turn to drugs," P.V. Sindhu said while speaking on the occasion.
