Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Engineering-Pharmacy Entrance examination will be held on June 20. The exam will be held in two sessions in the forenoon and afternoon of the same day.
Earlier, the popular entrance test, having two papers, was held over two days.
This year the exam will be held on the same day due to the COVID-19 situation. A proposal to hold the exam online from next year is under consideration.
All the examination norms, including 10 per cent reservation for the economically backward communities, that were applicable last year will be valid this year too.
Meanwhile, the engineering entrance exam (COMEDK UGET) of the private institutions in Karnataka will be held on the very same day the Kerala Engineering-Pharmacy Entrance examination will be held.
COMEDK UGET, which stands for the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test, offers students from Kerala to seek admission for engineering courses in the neighbouring state.
