New Delhi: Class-Ten students who sat for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, 2022, held in Kerala registered a spectacular 100% success.
S J Athira, a student of St Thomas Residential School at Mukkala in Thiruvananthapuram district, bagged the all–India second rank by scoring 498 marks (99.6%) out of 500. She, meanwhile, came first in Kerala.
Hargun Kaur (Pune), Anika Gupta (Kanpur), Pushkar Tripati (Balrampur, Chhattisgarh) and Kanishka Mittal (Lucknow) bagged the all– India first rank with 499 marks each.
As four candidates shared the first rank with 99.80% marks, 34 students including Athira who scored 99.6% marks share the second rank.
The all–India pass percentage is 99.97%.
Athira is the daughter of Pangapara native SL Shilu who works at Tata Elxsi and Dr R Jeena, a professor at Idukki Government Engineering College. Athira aims to pursue research in Physics.
