Kerala SSLC results on May 20; Praveshnolsavom on June 11

Kochi: The results of the State Secondary Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations will be announced on May 20 and that of the Plus Two on May 25, Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty announced.

No decision has been taken yet on publishing the marks along with the results of the SSLC examination.

The Kerala High Court had earlier directed the Education Department Secretary to consider the petition submitted to the Education Minister in this regard. While directing to take a decision on the petition at the earliest, the court also clarified that this order would not be a hindrance in announcing the results.

Praveshnolsavom

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will conduct the state-level inauguration of ‘Praveshnolsavom’, welcoming newcomers to schools, on June 11 at Government Boys Lower Primary School at Malayinkeezhu in Thiruvananthapuram district.

The chief minister will also inaugurate 96 new school buildings and lay foundation stones for 11 new school buildings during a function to be held at GHSS, Muzhapilangad, Dharmadom, Kannur, on May 23.

Strict action will be taken upon receiving complaints of money being demanded for allotting admission to schools. Also, Vigilance squads will be actively monitoring private tuitions being taken by teachers, he added.

Notice served on teachers

Notices will be issued to 3,006 teachers who failed to report for valuation of SSLC and higher secondary answer sheets, Minister Sivankutty said. The action is against those who failed to give any document in connection with their unauthorized absence.
