New Delhi: Registrations (LOC) for the Class 10 and Class 12 CBSE board exams will begin on Friday (August 29). Two board exams will be conducted for Class 10 this year, and registration for the first exam will be held now. According to CBSE authorities, since the first board exam is mandatory, all Class 10 students must submit the LOC at this stage.
Authorities added that only data submitted by students possessing an Apaar ID would be accepted. However, CBSE-affiliated schools abroad are exempted from this rule.
The registration window will remain open from August 29 to September 30. Students in India must pay a fee of ₹1,600 for five subjects, with an additional ₹320 for each extra subject. For students in CBSE schools abroad, the fee is ₹11,000 for five subjects and ₹2,200 per additional subject. Late registrations will be accepted with a fine of ₹2,000 between October 3 and 11. Admission for differently-abled students
Meanwhile, the CBSE directed schools not to deny admission to students with special needs. In a letter to schools, CBSE’s Academic Director Dr. Pragya Singh reiterated that the earlier order reserving 3 per cent of seats for students in this category must be strictly enforced. As per the order, schools must provide ramps, lifts, signboards, and accessible washrooms for differently-abled students. Additionally, each school must appoint at least one full-time special educator. Last year, 9,248 students enrolled in Class 10 and 5,712 in Class 12 under this category.
