Director Kamal, whose ambitious project Aami starring Manju Warrier in the lead is all set to hit the theaters soon, received flak for his alleged 'sexist' remark about Bollywood actress Vidya Balan.

Vidya was initially considered for the lead role in Aami. When she quit the project citing various reasons Malayalam actor Manju Warrier was roped in to play the role of noted writer Madhavikutty.

In a recent interview director Kamal said that he was only happy about Vidya Balan's exit from the project and that she would have only added a sexual appeal to the character in Aami.

Now, writer Saradakutty criticized Kamal for his comments about Vidya Balan and took a dig at the director in her Facebook post.

"When mother asked Kamala, who was staring at the setting sun, which God she was praying to, she replied that she was imagining making love to the man she loved," wrote Saradakutty.

She criticized that the legendary writer would feel humiliated if Kamal tries to place his idea of femininity in lieu of her fierce idea of womanhood.

Saradakutty said, "Those who hardly realize what feminine sexuality is all about often gets nervous when they encounter smart women in their life. They get intimidated whenever they come face to face with able women. They gape at those women as they seldom possess the courage to even desire them."

Saradakutty said that people like Kamal keep proving their cowardice by constantly snubbing the ideals of morality raised by Madhavikutty even when they pretended to admire the famous writer.

She wrote that it was a great misfortune that a mediocre filmmaker like Kamal had tried to 'introduce' Madhavikutty into the movies.

"He is constantly slipping as he tries to portray stalwarts like VKN and Madhavikutty on screen. He is still in bewilderment about the fact that he did really take a movie about Madhavikutty's life. That is why he keeps saying things about sophistication, innocence, nose pins and Manju Warrier. It would only be right to say that Vidya Balan saved herself while Manju Warrier got trapped," said the feisty critic.
