After the blockbuster success of the Telugu film ‘Lucky Baskhar’, Dulquer Salmaan is returning in the lead with ‘Kaantha’. The film’s first teaser will be unveiled tomorrow at 3 pm, coinciding with Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday.
‘Kaantha’ is written and directed by Selvamani Selvaraj. The movie is produced jointly by Wayfarer Films, owned by Dulquer Salmaan, and Spirit Media, owned by Rana Daggubati. Selvamani Selvaraj, who earned recognition for the Netflix documentary series ‘The Hunt for Veerappan’, takes the director’s chair for this ambitious project.
Recently, a new poster featuring the film’s heroine Bhagyashree Borse was released. Earlier, first look posters of Bhagyashree, Dulquer Salmaan and actor Samuthirakani had also created a buzz among audiences.
Set against the backdrop of 1950s Madras, ‘Kaantha’ stars Dulquer Salmaan, Bhagyashree Borse and Samuthirakani, with Telugu superstar Rana Daggubati playing another pivotal role. Notably, ‘Kaantha’ marks Wayfarer Films’ first non Malayalam production.
Though primarily filmed in Tamil, the movie will also be released in Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi. Further details, including the official release date, will be announced soon.
