'Iraivi' trailer rocks, swings and sizzles

The latest Karthik Subbaraj film, Iraivi, had showed off a crisp and intriguing teaser, and is now out with a trailer that runs along the same vein.

With an interesting cast, the film seems to be a motley mix of men, women and relationships. There is a mention of the mythical character 'Kannagi', of the famed 'Silappatikaram', and it leaves us amused yet again. The teaser too had spared a line for 'Kannagi', and it sure looks like Karthik Subbaraj may be going for a theme that tapers around ideas of liberal women, with reports already suggesting that the film would have a keen eye for women and the many shades of their relationships with men.

The cast looks like they're set to kill it; S.J. Surya, Vijay Sethupathi and Bobby Simha are in their comfort zones, and the women, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Anjali and Pooja Devariya up the suspense about 'Kannagi'.

Santhosh Narayanan is steering the course of music here, and we expect some magic here; the trailer does stand proof with the beats neatly synchronised with the characters and their idiosyncrasies.
