The shooting of Rajini's much anticipated movie Kabali is now underway in picturesque Malaysia. The furore and frenzy seen in there drives home the point that the superstar is immensely popular in Malaysia too!
Rajini's Facebook page is flooded with pictures of him interacting with the Kabali crew, and meeting his fans in his usual cheerful self. The epitome of humility, he is seen waving his hand at his fans' uproar every time they surround him.
The first phase of the movie was shot in India. The team then proceeded to Malaysia, where parts of the film are scheduled to be shot. The remaining portion of the film will be shot here in Adityaram studios and EVP world here.
Rajinikanth plays a gangster in the film, which is said to be based on the life of a don in Chennai. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film also features Radhika Apte, Kalaiarasan and Dhanshikaa in important roles. The film is expected to hit the screens in April, 2016.
