Sanusha is back in Malayalam cinema after a brief hiatus. And this time she is making her comeback in Urvashi’s 700th film. The actor who debuted as a child actor in 'Dada Sahib' and has done close to 45 films (both as a child and adult actor), talks about her second innings.
You are back after a 6-year gap. Was this break deliberate?
Well, I took a break only from Malayalam and was active in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The break from Malayalam was deliberate as I thought of waiting for good characters. I did miss Malayalam cinema a lot. Currently, I have finished three films in Malayalam. The post-production work of two films is currently underway.
You finished your education during this period. Tell us about your campus life.
I finished PG from St Teresa's College without any special celebrity treatment. Having said that my college life was fun. Even during that time, I was acting in films. But my teachers, parents, and friends were very supportive. So I could happily balance both.
'Jaladhara Pumpset' is a courtroom comedy drama featuring Urvashi and Indrans. What can you say more about the film?
Not just the story and character but the team is also a reason why I picked the film. I play Urvashi Chechi’s daughter in the film. I think Chippy will be the best character in my career. It was my biggest dream to act with Urvashi. I have often been in awe watching her act. I learned so much from her. Indrans Chettan is the most simple actor I have ever seen in my life. While shooting at Palakkad many people had come to watch the shoot. And Indrans Chettan would easily become one of them. It is almost the same way in which he becomes the character too. There is also Johny Antony, TG Ravi, and Sagar.
What’s happening in Sanoop’s life?
Sanoop is also studying. He has finished plus two. He is also waiting for a good film. 'Marathakam' and 'Liquor Island' are my new releases.
