Vijay Sethupathi’s 'Puriyatha Puthir': audience review

After much confusion over it’s release, the Vijay Sethupathi starrer Puriyatha Puthir was released on Friday.

Interestingly, the movie was released in Kerala as well among the Onam releases- Njandukalude Naatil Oridevela, Pullikkaran Staraa and Adam Joan. After the success of Vikram Vedha, Vijay Sethupathi has got a good number of fan followers from Kerala and the movie got a decent opening in the state.

Puriyatha Puthir is a psychological thriller, directed by debutant Rajnith Jeyakodi and produced under Rebel Studio Productions.

Sam CS, music director of Vikram Vedha has scored the music for Puriyatha Puthir too.

Plot: Kathir (Vijay Sethupathi), an aspiring music director and Meera (Gayathrie), a music teacher meet and fall in love. While both declare their love for each other, Kathir gets to know that someone is stalking Meera. Who, why and how Kathir deals with it forms the crux of the story.
