Many complain that green chillies get spoiled pretty easily and that it is a hassle to keep them fresh. What if we tell you that you can keep green chillies fresh up to a month. All you have to do is to follow these steps:

First, wash the green chillies. Separate the ripe and the spoiled ones. Now, remove the stalks of the chillies that look vibrant green in colour. Wipe off excess water from the chillies (you could store coriander leaves, mint leaves and tomatoes like this). Spread a few plies of tissue papers on the bottom of an air tight container. Add the washed green chillies into it. Place a tissue sheet on top of them. Make sure to change the tissue on the top at least once a week. There is no need to change the tissues on the bottom.

If stored like this, the green chillies would stay fresh for up to one month.

Another method is to grind the washed green chillies in a mixer jar. Transfer the green chilli paste into a tray. Cover this tray using a cling film. Pop it in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Now, transfer the chilli paste into a freezer safe bag. Push out the air before closing the bag. Store the bag in the freezer.
