Once again, the American singer has proved that the title of India’s favourite “national jiju” didn’t come easy. Nick’s latest Instagram video, where he grooves to a Bollywood song while holding a piece of crispy dosa dipped in chutney, has quickly turned into a social media favourite.

In the now-viral clip, Nick is seen enjoying a traditional South Indian breakfast from his hotel buffet in Singapore, clearly in his element. The song playing is “Teri Dulhan Sajaoongi” from the 2005 film Barsaat, featuring his wife Priyanka Chopra, Bobby Deol and Bipasha Basu. As the music plays, Nick sways along and captions the video with a simple line: “When they have dosa at the breakfast buffet.”

Nick was in Singapore for the opening of Art Week Singapore 2026, one of Asia’s biggest celebrations of art and culture, held every January. But before the spotlight and performances, it was dosa that stole the show.

Fans were quick to flood the comments with jokes and praise. “Someone please issue him an Aadhaar card already,” wrote one user. Others declared him the “best jiju ever”, a nickname Nick has earned over the years, not just because he is married to Priyanka Chopra, but also due to his genuine love for Indian food, films and music.

This isn’t new territory for Nick Jonas. He has often spoken about how Bollywood songs help him mentally prepare before concerts, and his fondness for Indian cuisine is well documented. From biryani and butter chicken to paneer dishes like saag paneer, naan and raita, Nick has repeatedly said he enjoys exploring Indian flavours whenever he gets the chance.

Whether it’s at Priyanka Chopra’s home or a hotel breakfast buffet halfway across the world, Nick Jonas and Indian food seem to be a match made in comfort-food heaven. And if dosa and chutney come with a side of Bollywood nostalgia, even better.
