Chutneys always brighten up the dining table! The more, the merrier. Try this green Bengal gram chutney that renders a unique taste to the dish.
Ingredients
1 cup scraped coconut
½ cup roasted Bengal gram
2 green chillies, chopped
1 tsp ginger, chopped
Salt, as required
½ cup coriander leaves
2 dried red chillies
Salt, as required
Oil, as required
2 tsp lime juice
1 tsp mustard seeds
Preparation
Into the mixer, put in the scraped coconut, roasted Bengal gram, green chillies, ginger, salt and coriander leaves and grind to a smooth paste
In a hot pan, pour oil
Drop the mustard seeds and wait until they splutter
Add the curry leaves and red chillies
Put in the ground mixture
Wash out the mixer with some water and add it to the pan
Pour in the lime juice
Delicious chutney is ready to be served for breakfast
