Ripe mango pachadi

Pachadi is a side dish mostly served in Kerala sadya. Normally eaten with rice, pachadi is also a great combination with roti. Here is the recipe of mango pachadi seasoned with mustard.

Ingredients
2 semi-ripe mangoes
1 tsp chilli powder
Salt to taste
1 cup grated coconut
1/2 tsp dry red chilli seeds
2 tsp jeera
1 tsp crushed mustard
1 dsp coconut oil
1 tsp mustard
3 dry red chillies
1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
Curry leaves

Preparation
Cut each mango into four slices, without separating it from the seed.
Cook the sliced mangoes with chilli powder, curry leaves, salt and just enough water.
Grind together coconut, chilli seeds and jeera to a paste.
Mix crushed mustard into it with a little masala water.
Pour this masala over the mangoes.
Mix well and allow it to simmer till the raw smell of the masala goes.
Heat oil, fry mustard, fenugreek and red chillies. Pour this seasoning over the pachadi.
