Sweet and tangy orange cake is the perfect dessert to be served after a multi-course Christmas meal. Here is the recipe of orange cake.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
¼ cup orange juice
1 tsp orange zest
¼ cup oil
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 eggs
¾ cup sugar
Preparation
Sift the all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl
Meanwhile, beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla essence
Into it add oil, orange juice and orange zest
Now add the dry ingredients slowly into the egg – juice mix
Fold well
Grease a cake tin with oil and place a butter paper
Pour the batter into the cake tin
Preheat a non-stick pan for 10 minutes
Place the cake tin in it
Bake for 35 minutes
Enjoy the soft and moist orange cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
