Ingredients
1 bottle (750 ml) Moscato or any sweet white wine
3 cups pink lemonade
1 cup vodka
1 can (about 350 ml) lemon-lime soda
2 cups sliced strawberries
1 lemon, thinly sliced
Ice cubes as needed
Sugar for rimming the glass (optional)
Preparation
Chill all the ingredients well
If you prefer a sugared rim, rub a lemon wedge around the glass and dip it lightly in sugar
Pour the wine, pink lemonade and vodka into a large jug or pitcher
Add the lemon-lime soda and sliced fruit
Add ice and stir gently
Serve cold
Notes and variations
- If you want the drink less sweet, replace Moscato with Prosecco or another dry sparkling wine.
- Gin works well in place of vodka and adds a subtle herbal note.
- Raspberries, peaches or a few mint leaves can be added along with strawberries.
- For a non-alcoholic version, skip the wine and vodka and increase the lemonade and soda.
