This dream home belongs to Sainudeen and his family in Kondotty, Malappuram. When they decided to build a house on a 20-cent plot, the homeowner's main requirement was to preserve the existing jackfruit tree.
The house is designed in a traditional-modern style, blending flat and sloping elements in its exterior. The courtyard is paved with Bangalore stone, and landscaping with plants and trees creates a green space. Benches are provided for seating. The house features a small sit-out with a highlighted cement textured wall. The formal living area is furnished with customized furniture.

The ground floor comprises a porch, sit-out, formal living room, family living room, dining area, kitchen, work area, and two bedrooms. The upper floor has two bedrooms and a balcony. The total area is 3700 square feet.
The staircase is built with wooden planks on a metal frame. The space under the stairs is utilized effectively as a part of the family living area. Black granite flooring is used in certain areas to create a sense of separation. A breakfast counter is incorporated at the entry point. The cabinets have a plywood and laminate finish, and the counter is topped with black granite.
The bedrooms have a wooden finish, with wooden-finished tiles on the floor. Each bedroom includes an attached bathroom and wardrobe. A mezzanine sitting space is created on the first landing of the staircase. The flooring and seating here have a teak finish. The house receives good natural light and ventilation, creating a positive energy environment.
