How actress Muktha shed 3kg in a month

Actress Muktha

Actress Muktha is someone who is extremely particular about fitness. But childbirth resulted in the actress gaining extra pounds, jumping from 55 to 74 kg. But the actress managed to knock off 3 kg in a month. Muktha has explained her fitness regime and diet chart on her YouTube channel.

Here is what she narrates:

When I was acting in films, I would really take care of my diet. I avoided sweets and followed a strict diet. But I started eating without any restraint when I realised that I was pregnant. Before pregnancy, I weighed 50/55 kg and after delivery, I had reached 74 kg.

I used to hog food when I stressed over minor things. And if I am too tense I would go without food for 2-3 days. While accompanying my daughter for her shoot, I would get tensed wondering if she would take several retakes and all. And in that location, I felt I had gained more pounds after consuming a lot of juices and food. Because the dresses that earlier used to fit started getting tighter while going for her film promotions. Just when I was wondering what to do with all that weight gain, I got this notification from a fitness centre on YouTube.

I joined a 30-day programme with live sessions. There is a nutritionist for us. We have to check our weight weekly and send it to her. If you have any health issues, you should also send her the results of your blood test. They will get a diet designed according to that. This diet doesn’t make you starve. I can avoid tea, coffee or sugar but I really need my Pulishery, rice and chicken curry. So my nutritionist prescribed a diet that was comfortable for me.

I first weighed 64.9 kg. After breakfast, I did a live session workout. After 11 am I can have a liquid meal. I chose buttermilk. Those who want lime juice can take that.

During the second week, I weighed 63.5 kg. I was able to knock off 1 kg in a week.

Breakfast

While doing films I used to have only ½ a piece of idli. Later it became 3. According to my diet, I have two idlies, sambhar and a boiled egg white for breakfast. During evenings I would go for a walk. And I had to take 5000-10,000 steps daily. During the evening I could take nuts (cashew, pista, badam) along with green tea.

Lunch

1 chapati, a few slices of cucumber, 2 pieces of chicken, a bowl of dry spinach and a bowl of dal was my lunch. Every week they would check my weight and prescribe a diet and fitness programme according to my weight reduction. I had to drink 3-4 litres of water daily. This was all part of the diet chart. Before eating anything I had to send a photo of my meal plate to the nutritionist.

Dinner

For dinner, I have some white rice, chicken curry, cucumber and onions. Dinner has to be eaten between 7 and 7:30 pm. Since that is usually our prayer time I have dinner by 6:30 pm. At 8:30 pm I have a glass of turmeric milk (lukewarm milk seasoned with a tiny pinch of turmeric, cashew powder and dry ginger) and this gives me a good sleep. I feel energetic when I get up in the morning.

Within a month I was weighing 61.3 kg. I am so glad I was able to reduce 3 kg in one month.
