Removing stickers from brand-new vessels and utensils is quite challenging. You might even scratch the surface of the shiny new ships if you try too hard to remove the strong adhesive. That said, it is essential to remove these stickers as the adhesive might attract dust and dirt, causing a risk of food poisoning. Here’s how to easily remove stickers from new utensils in a healthy manner.
1) The stickers on steel and ceramic vessels could be removed using hot water and dishwashing soap. Take water in a basin and add a few drops of liquid soap. Soak the ship in this water for 10 – 15 minutes. Gently scrub using a soft cloth or sponge to take off the sticker.
2) Rub some coconut oil or cooking oil on the sticker and leave it on for 10 minutes. Now, gently rub away the sticker.
3) Add a few drops of lemon juice or vinegar on a clean cloth. Press the wet cloth on the sticker for a few minutes. This will loosen up the sticker. After the sticker has been taken off, wash the vessel using a liquid soap.
4) Hair dryers could be used to remove stickers with strong adhesive. Blast hot air from a hair dryer onto the sticker for half a minute to loosen the glue. Wash the utensil after removing the sticker.
5) Make a paste by mixing baking soda with water. Apply this paste over the sticker using a sponge or a soft brush. Gently rub away the sticker and the adhesive after a few minutes.

1) Wash the new vessels before using them for the first time. Although they are new, dust and dirt may accumulate on the surface during packing or transportation. Besides, there may be remnants of the polish, too.

3) Some vessels may have silica gel packets or transparent sheet coating. Check the ship thoroughly as they are difficult to spot.
4) Manufacturers may provide instructions about how to use certain vessels. It may include the methods of cleaning or the heat that could be used. Read the instructions carefully to use the vessel safely and durably.
5) Use soft scrubs or sponges to wash new vessels. Harsh scrubs may cause scratches on the surface.
