Medisep card corrections, editing can be done before September 10: Steps, updates

Customers could edit or make changes in the Medisep health insurance card provided by the Kerala state government for its serving or retired employees until September 10. To avoid discrepancies in the details provided in the Medisep card and the ID card given at the hospitals, users must log in to the website. Click on the status menu and provide the required information, including the pen number/ employee ID, PPO number/ pension ID, date of birth, and the name of the department or treasury. Then, download the status report to verify the accuracy of the Medisep data.

Employees must submit applications for editing the details, correcting the mistakes or adding or deleting names to the respective DDOs, while pensioners/ family pensioners must submit the application to the treasury officers, before September 10.

Newborn babies should be added within 90 days after birth, while newlyweds should add their partner’s name within a month in the beneficiary list in the portal. After the changes are made and the profiles are updated, DDOs should verify the profiles and download the status report of these profiles. The status report should later be cross-checked with the Medisep card.

Meanwhile, the finance department has also updated some details under the scheme. From now on, employees who are on leave without pay won’t be included in the scheme. Those who have resigned, been dismissed from service or have moved to posts without Medisep coverage will also be removed from its purview. Only those under the Social Security Pension scheme will be eligible for pensions under the coverage.
