Kerala's MEDISEP insurance data for 31.46 lakh beneficiaries is now managed by private firms

10 more health emergencies, including getting struck by lightning and snake bite, have been included in the list of diseases that would be reimbursed for getting emergency treatment at non-empanelled hospitals.
Nearly 32 lakh are expected to benefit.
The revised premium rates under Phase 2 will come into effect only after the new phase is formally implemented.
The amount will be deducted from pensioners as well.
The Commission imposed a fine of ₹1,91,452 on the company while considering the MEDISEP beneficiary's complaint.
